Weddings are full of happy moments and surprises. They are magical and fun and everyone loves to see two people join together in marriage. It can also get really emotional, as one father learned when his daughter decided to surprise him during their father-daughter dance on her wedding day.

These celebrations bring out the best in people, but even the strongest among us are prone to emotional outbreaks during the festivities. Plenty of happy tears are shed, even by the father of the bride. It can be the moment he gives his little girl away, or during a speech that brings him to his knees.

This time, it was a very special nostalgic surprise that had this dad smiling and bursting into tears. During the father-daughter dance, the two sway softly to their special song, then something unusual comes through loud and clear in the middle of the song.

As father and daughter danced to a song, the music stopped as a tiny familiar voice is heard singing over the speakers instead. The music and lyrics change to a song that her father hadn’t heard in years. When he realized what he was hearing, he broke down into tears.

It was his baby girl when she was just three-years-old singing over the speakers. The bride had managed to find an old home video of her singing and had the song played over the audio. She is singing a very special song to her daddy.

It is the famous Barney song with the lyrics, “I love you. You love me. We’re a happy family.” Now grown up and a newlywed, the song was a reminder to her father of how she’ll always be his little girl.
