Horses are beautiful creatures. They have shiny coats, flowing manes, and powerful bodies that make them absolutely breathtaking. But there is one horse who goes above and beyond the beauty of any other horse, or so many people believe.

His name is Frederik the Great, and he is a Friesian stallion that has unofficially been called the world’s most handsome horse. When you see his stunning beauty you will understand why. He has a mane that would make most women jealous.

Frederik lives on Pinnacle Friesians, a farm in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. He was imported to the farm from the Netherlands when he was just six-years-old and was named after the 18th-century Prussian monarch Frederick the Great.

Friesian horses originated in Friesland in the Netherlands and are known for their large size, shiny black coats, and long, silky and often wavy manes and tails. When you see Frederick moving about, the only thing missing is the knight in shining armor.

Since coming to the United States, Frederik has appeared on the “Late Show” with Stephen Colbert, and has received multiple offers to appear in films. His Facebook page, Frederik the Great, has over 87,000 likes and over 89,000 followers.

Unfortunately, Frederik’s breed is on the brink of extinction. His breeder, Stacy Nazario, says she is doing her part to keep the breed alive. By the looks of Frederik, she’s definitely doing a good job of it.

Check out the video below of Frederik in all his glory and be sure to share it with your family and friends. What a beauty!
