Nobody likes waiting in the checkout line at the supermarket, as it feels like a waste of time and is extremely frustrating. Though most grocery stores have been trying to find ways to streamline this process and make lines shorter, one has done the exact opposite.
A Tesco shop in Scotland recently unveiled a line for people who are NOT in a rush. Many of us feel very rushed when checking out because of the people waiting behind us, but not in this line!
This line is for people who need a bit more time to get their money out, or may have questions for the cashier.

“Relaxed checkout – Feel free to take as long as you need to go through this checkout today,” the sign at this line reads. “Please be aware that you may experience a wait to complete your transaction. Thank you!”
Wendy Menzies, an advisor for Alzheimer Scotland, is the person who came up with the idea for this line after noticing that many locals suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, meaning shopping takes more time for them.

“It can help take some of the pressure off and hopefully then it will encourage people to still go out and about and participate in things that they’ve always done,” Wendy explained.
This line has been such a success that other grocery stores all over the globe are considering implementing it!
