Every girl dreams of having the perfect prom night when they get to high school. They want the perfect night, the perfect dress, and of course, the perfect date. So for one Alabama teen, her prom night was the night that every girl dreams about and then some.

Lindsay Preston is a special young girl and was born with Down Syndrome. She attends Lawrence County High School and this was her year to attend prom. She got herself the perfect dress and then she ended up having the perfect date too.

Lindsay’s family has been good friends with the Jones family for years. The San Francisco 49ers’ safety, Don Jones II, just happens to be part of that family and says that Lindsay’s family has kept in touch with him and his family for a long time.

So when Lindsay’s mother asked Don if he would take Lindsay to prom, Don was happy to jump in and escort his friend to the dance. “Anything I can do to make some kids smile, I would be more than willing to do,” he said.

Kristi Martin, Lindsay’s mother, snapped a few photos of the happy pair and shared them on her Facebook page. A friend shared a video of Don and Lindsay busting a move on the dance floor. They even took traditional prom pictures together.

It looks like this is a night that Lindsay, and probably some other kids at the prom, will never forget. Be sure to share this heartwarming story with your friends.
