As parents, we want to do everything in our power to make sure that our child is comfortable and taken care of. That’s why when Utah father Ben Sowards got a call from his 6 year-old daughter’s school saying that she had a bathroom accident, he knew he had to rush in to pick her up immediately.
Ben wanted to make his daughter Valerie feel better after this embarrassing incident, and he came up with a unique way to do so!

Before running to his car to drive to the school, Ben spilled some water around the crotch of his pants. He was hoping that this would make Valerie not feel so alone, and also make her laugh!
“Honestly, I knew she was mortified, but I thought if I could make her laugh everything would be fine,” Ben said.
His little plan worked, and Valerie found it hilarious!

When he got to the principal’s office, Ben whispered to Valerie asking if he could borrow her backpack, explaining that he needed to hide something. She was confused at first, but then she looked down and saw his pants!
As soon as she saw her father’s pants, Valerie felt comfortable enough to stand up and walk out of the school.
“She was totally exasperated,” Ben said. “But, once she saw my pants, I got that look from her where I knew everything was OK. All dads know what look I’m talking about. And we just strolled out of the school like nothing was happening.”

We applaud Ben for finding a creative, funny way to ease his daughter’s embarrassment! Watch Ben tell his story in the video below, and SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
