A video is going viral this week that has to be one of the cutest things that I have ever seen! The heartwarming footage serves as a reminder of the strong bond that elephants can build with humans.

The video was filmed at Maevang Elephant Camp in Chiang Mai, Thailand by student Laura-Jane, who spent two months in the Asia celebrating her graduation from school. When she saw the joy being exhibited by the baby elephant in this video, she knew she had to capture it on camera!

The video opens with the caretaker at the Elephant Camp playing with the baby elephant, using a plastic bucket as a toy. The little elephant can’t seem to stop giggling at the silly games that the caretaker is playing with the bucket!

Laura-Jane was touched by how joyful the little elephant was. As a geology Ph.D. student, she has always been in touch with nature, but this happy little elephant still nearly brought her to tears.

“It made me feel so happy to see the elephant obviously having such a good time,” she said. “We watched the baby being playful, relaxed and care-free all day. She seemed to be quite a cheeky little girl, and at one point even tried to eat my top.”

In the video, you can see the baby elephant’s mother keeping watch nearby. She is not about to let her baby out of her sight, but she trusts the caretaker enough to allow the pair to continue playing together.

“In the afternoon, we got to ride the older elephants for a little way through the jungle. The baby came along for a stroll and to have some fun,” Laura-Jane said.

It’s impossible to watch this video without smiling! Check out the footage below, and SHARE this story so your friends and family can see this as well!
