If you’ve ever walked down the street in Bali, you’ve likely noticed the amount of stray dogs that wander the streets. Because there are thousands of dogs roaming around, most of them go unnoticed, even when they are in dire need.

Luckily, a man named Rico is on a mission to save as many dogs as he can before it’s too late. So far he’s rescued four dogs, but when he came across a very sick and malnourished husky, he knew he couldn’t leave her behind.

The husky had been abandoned on the streets of Denpasar, Bali, and was in horrible condition. She was so malnourished you could see her bones and her skin was disease. As a result, she had bald patches all over her body.

Rico knew she wouldn’t make it much longer if he didn’t help her. He wasn’t sure what it was about her, but he just couldn’t walk away from her. The road ahead wouldn’t be easy, but he knew he was going to try to save her.

He picked her up out of the middle of the street on his way home from work and bought the necessary food and supplies to begin nursing her back to health. He took her to the vet for a check up, started her on a healthy diet, and gave her a good grooming.

It wasn’t long before Hope, as Rico named her, was thriving and looking like a completely different dog. Through all of her struggles, Hope’s beautiful blue eyes continued to shine. You won’t believe her amazing transformation.

She now has a thick coat of hair and is strong and healthy. She loves to eat cookies and snuggle, just like Rico’s other spoiled dogs. She has a new lease on life now that she’s living comfortably with Rico and her four amazing furry brothers and sisters.
