Swing dancing is one of the hardest styles of dancing that there is, as the routines are full of intricate moves. Longtime dance partners Jason Colacino and Katie Boyle have completely mastered swing, however, and watching the video of them performing below is sure to make you want to get up and dance as well!
The video below recently surfaced, and it shows Jason and Katie dancing to a “countrified” version of the Rolling Stones hit “Honky Tonk Woman.”

In the video, Jason and Katie are performing a form of swing called “West Coast Swing,” which has roots in the old-fashioned “Lindy Hop” dance. This form of dance is known for the elastic way that the dancers move. It’s crucial that partners who perform this dance have a strong connection, and it’s clear that Jason and Katie definitely have that!

Katie’s background in traditional ballet is obvious as Jason whirls her around the stage incredibly fast. I have no idea how she doesn’t get dizzy!

The two had lots of success during their careers, with Jason earning the U.S. Open Swing title and three World Cabaret titles. His talent is obvious from unbelievable moves such as this one:

Sadly, Jason passed away unexpectedly a few years ago, but this video is a great tribute to his memory. To this day, Jason is remembered as “one of the most gifted dancers ever to grace the hardwood.”

Check out the performance in the video below, and SHARE this story so your friends and family can see it as well!
