We all know what it’s like to be so tired that we can barely keep our eyes open. Though adults learn to love the peace and quiet time of sleep, kids often try to stay awake at all costs just so that they won’t miss any of the action!

A hilarious new video is going viral showing an exhausted toddler fighting sleep as if his life depended on it! Riding in his car seat with his dad, the little boy is so tired that his eyes have glazed over and he is staring off blankly into space, yet he will not let himself go to sleep.

Noticing his son’s exhaustion, the father asks, “Hey buddy, are you tired?”

“Yeah,” the child answers quietly.

“Can’t even keep your eyes open?” the dad asks.

“Yeah,” comes the reply.

“You been nodding off a little bit,” dad continues.

“Yeah,” the boy answers blankly, clearly zoned out.

As if they are the magic words the son has been waiting for, the dad then says, “It’s okay, buddy. If you want to go to sleep… you go ahead, go to sleep.”

Instantly, the boy’s head falls and face-plants on his chest! The dad can’t help but laugh as he realizes his son has fallen asleep instantaneously. It is as if the boy was just waiting for his father to give him permission to pass out!
