It often feels like today’s world is dominated by negativity, as positive stories rarely makes the news these days. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of photos with heartwarming stories behind them that are sure to restore your faith in humanity!

1. Meet 15 year-old Anthony Borges. He used his body as a human shield to block his classroom door when a gunman opened fire at Parkland High School in Florida. Anthony saved the lives of 20 of his classmates, but he ended up being shot five times himself. Luckily, he survived, and we are praying for his continued recovery.

4. A middle school started a “Breakfast With Dads” program, but many students did not have any father figures in their lives, so the school posted a request on Facebook for 50 volunteer fathers…Over 600 fathers showed up.

9. An elderly man had a heart attack while he was out shoveling his driveway. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, then returned to finish his shoveling for him. 
10. This retired firefighter was invited to the high school graduation of girl he rescued 17 years ago from a house fire while she was in her crib.
