Finn took off out of his owners’ yard and although they whistled and yelled for him to come back, he had a mind of his own. He may be little, but he’s an ornery dog. His owners figured he would go out exploring and return home in just a bit. How he would get home would be one unique story.

About 30 minutes after Finn left the yard, his owner, Reid Thompson, got a call from the Ontario Provincial Police. It seemed as if Finn had caused quite a ruckus while he was out on his adventure, and the police had him in custody.

Finn had chased a deer along the side of the road, up to the hospital and around the hospital grounds, and back out onto the road. They tangled for a bit, jumped over the guard rail and onto some ice below, and finally the deer was able to escape and Finn gave up.

The officers weren’t happy about the chaos Finn had caused and gave Reid a lecture on keeping his dog on a leash. They also told him to be prepared for animal control officers to be in touch with him soon.

While Reid was getting lectured about not keeping his dog restrained, Finn was sitting happily in the back seat of the police car. He didn’t seem to mind a bit that he had been a bad dog. He might have even acted like he liked it.

Reid’s daughter, Emme, also found the situation humorous. She snapped a photo of Finn sitting in the back of the police car with no guilt whatsoever on his face. She posted the pic to Twitter and people had plenty of funny things to say about it. One Tweet said, “After a tip-off from an anonymous collar, they caught the pup-itrator, gave him a pat down, made sure he didn’t flea and sent him to the dog house.”

Emme later posted an update that Finn was now home and free and they were waiting to see how much trouble Finn was in when the animal control visits later. She said Finn wasn’t too happy about getting a bath to clean him up because the powder scent didn’t go with his new bad boy image very well. LOL!

We find Finn’s mischievous adventure quite funny and brightened our day. Share this with loved ones to brighten up theirs!
