Nick Cannon certainly has had his hands full over the past few years as he’s welcomed a dozen children — and counting — into his blended family.

Unfortunately for Nick, that busy lifestyle has prompted ex-wife Mariah Carey to want some changes when it comes to their twins, and we have a feeling Nick is not going to like it.

Mariah is reportedly seeking primary custody of their two children together

A source close to the “Fantasy” singer told RadarOnline that Mariah wants son Moroccan and daughter Monroe with her full-time moving forward.

While she and Nick have an existing custody agreement that has been in place since their 2014 divorce, Nick’s continuous stream of new babies has the unofficial queen of Christmas looking to alter their arrangement.

It doesn’t sound like much will change for the 11-year-olds

Sadly, Mariah’s kids don’t get a whole lot of daddy time as it stands now.

“The reality of the situation is that Monroe and Moroccan are usually with Mariah anyway,” the source said. “Nick doesn’t see much of them.”

However, it doesn’t sound like Nick is doing it on purpose. The insider went on to note that he tries to make as much time for them as he can, but his busy schedule unfortunately doesn’t really allow for it.

Mariah allegedly hopes a change to their custody agreement will send a strong message to Nick

The “All I Want for Christmas Is You” crooner reportedly isn’t trying to punish her ex for expanding his family over the years. “But she wants to put him on notice that he can’t just flit in and out of their lives while he attends to his other children,” the source continued.

“And she wants legal standing as the twins’ primary caregiver.”

Nick is now juggling 11 children

The Wild n’ Out star has good reason to be busy. In addition to Monroe and Moroccan, he has since 2011 welcomed Golden, Powerful, Zion, Zillion, Zen (who died in December 2021), Legendary, Onyx, Rise, Beautiful, and Halo.

Having all those kids has got to be hard for Nick to keep up with, so we can understand Mariah’s concerns about just how much this lifestyle is affecting her twins.

We can’t help but feel bad for Monroe and Moroccan

No matter what happens with the custody arrangement, we have to imagine that the tweens will see the details of their relationship with their dad shared in the press, which will likely be hard for them.

If the custody arrangement switchup rumor is true, hopefully Mariah and Nick can come to a quick and amicable new agreement and make the changes that will be best for their kids.
