Brittney McKee says she and her husband had just finished up at their doctor’s appointment to see how their growing son was doing. It was just weeks before her delivery and the baby was doing well. They stopped by their local Walmart in Georgia to pick up a few things before heading home.

When they rounded the corner in the freezer aisle at Walmart, a woman had passed out, but was beginning to wake up. Still disoriented, Brittney says it was her nursing instincts that made her get down in the floor and sit with the woman until help could arrive.

The woman admitted to being on blood thinners and said she was still feeling pretty dizzy. Several Walmart workers had surrounded them offering help and dispatching emergency services. It was the action of one young man that Brittney says caught her attention the most.

Jason, although Brittney doesn’t know his last name, was a young Walmart employee. Without being told, he sat down next to the woman and offered his body as a place to lean back onto and rest while she was waiting for help.

Brittney says that in today’s world there is a split between races that is portrayed by the media, but she says she knows after seeing what happened that day, that what the media portrays is not true by and large.

She says Jason was just offering to help a woman in need. He didn’t care about the color of her skin, and the woman didn’t care about his race either. They were just two humans; one who needed the help of the other.

Brittney took to social media to share her heart warming experience and says she was glad she was able to be a witness to such kindness and compassion. Apparently other people liked her story as well, because it’s gone viral and been over one million times and shared over half a million times.
