Earlier this year, we reported that former “Wonder Woman” star Lynda Carter’s husband of 37 years, gaming CEO Robert A. Altman, had passed away suddenly at the age of 73. Now, a source close to Carter is saying that she’s doing her best to honor Altman in the wake of his passing.

The insider said that Altman’s death was so unexpected that mourning him has been difficult for Carter.

“He was pretty healthy,” the friend told Closer Weekly. “But the surgical procedure had complications, and that’s what caused his death.”

Carter is still living in the 20,000-square-foot Georgian-style mansion that she shared with Altman.

“She still loves it there,” the source said.

Carter has the continued support of her and Altman’s children James, 33, and Jessica, 27. She is reportedly especially close to her daughter.

“They recorded a duet together,” the friend said. “Lynda loves performing with her and attending her shows. Jessica has one coming up in late September in NYC, and Lynda will definitely be there. She’ll probably get on stage with Jessica, too.”

Music has played a huge role in helping Carter to heel.

“Singing is in my soul,” Carter said. “I was on the road performing in my teens and traveled from the Catskills to Las Vegas and from San Francisco to the saloons in Texas.”

“She’s all about being creative, and making music is a priority,” her friend added.

Of course, Carter still misses Altman every single day.

“Robert worshipped Lynda, and she adored him,” the source said. “They shared a very special bond.”

“Lynda misses the little things the most,” added the friend. “She misses waking up with Robert, making coffee, taking long walks, sitting beside him, just talking to him. Lynda misses all of it.”

While friends have offered to set Carter up with other men, she feels that it’s way too soon to start dating again.

“Friends are always asking when they can fix her up,” said the source. “She’s not ready.”

These days, Carter is just trying to stay positive.

“She says he’s always with her,” said the friend. “And she honors him every day in her prayers, her music and the time she spends with their children.”
