A friend of Prince Harry’s is claiming that he has a “Prince Andrew complex” and is afraid of “becoming irrelevant” as the public becomes “more interested in Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.”

The friend claimed that Harry has “always been in such a rush to make an impact” before he falls down the pecking order in the royal family.

“Harry has always been in such a rush to make an ‘impact,’ because he thinks he has a limited shelf-life before the public want to hear more from George and his siblings and he worries that after that, he’ll turn into his uncle,” the friend told The Sunday Times.

This comes days after Harry announced that he is writing a tell-all memoir that will come out next year.

“I’m writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become,” he said in the announcement. “I’ve worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story — the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learnt — I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think.”

“I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learnt over the course of my life so far and excited for people to read a firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful,” Harry added.

The royal family has reportedly gone into full panic mode over reports about the memoir.

“The royal family is shaken up about the book,” a source told US Weekly, adding that William and Charles are “particularly concerned about what Harry will reveal” after his recent attacks on the royal family, which were “bad enough” already.

“They haven’t received a copy yet and don’t know what to expect,” the insider added. “It’s making them nervous.”

The royal family has reason to panic about the book, given how much Harry has spoken out against them in recent months. In his explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey back in March, Harry was critical of the royal family as he talked about his decision to step down as a senior royal.

“[There was] a lack of support and lack of understanding,” Harry said at the time. “My biggest concern was history repeating itself, and I’ve said that before on numerous occasions, very publicly. … It was like, ‘I need to do this for my family.’ This is not a surprise to anybody. It’s really sad that it’s gotten to this point, but I’ve got to do something for my own mental health, my wife’s, and for Archie’s, as well, because I could see where this was headed.”
