A royal expert is speaking out this week to say that Prince William has had enough of his feud with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and that he is now “very, very firm” in pushing back against them.
The Express reported that royal expert Charlotte Griffiths explained that there is a “new picture emerging that William is much tougher in this situation than we previously thought.” She added that William was no longer “taking anymore nonsense from the couple.”
“Most people thought the main blame for the fall-out was not Meghan, but instead the brothers themselves,” she said. “A new picture is emerging that William is much tougher in this situation than we previously thought. He is very, very firm. He was much tougher behind the scenes very early on. He was not taking anymore nonsense from very early on it seems.”
Royal expert Rebecca English agreed with this assessment.
“We are not going to be seeing William complain about any article or program,” she said. “But what is clear is that there is a line in the sand for him. The suggestion that he had briefed about his brother and mental health issues was just a step too far for him.”
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told OK! Magazine that William is “dreading” Meghan and Harry’s next move.
“What do they do next?” he questioned. “That’s a question Prince William is dreading the answer to. Ultimately, they have to find a way to do their work in LA while not trading in on the royal brand. Prince Harry hasn’t exactly been subtle.”
“He’s revealed to the world that he pretty much hates his family and the whole system is rotten to the core, but by continually talking about the royals, they’re cashing in on the brand,” Larcombe continued. “If they spend their whole careers selling that royal brand, they’ll never speak to William again.”
William has been in a bitter feud with Harry and Meghan ever since they stepped down as senior royals last year and moved across the world to California. Things have only escalated since then in the wake of Harry and Meghan bashing the royal family in a series of interviews.
It remains to be seen whether or not this rift can ever truly be healed.
