As her bitter custody battle with Brad Pitt continues, Angelina Jolie is reportedly “reconnecting” with her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller over twenty years after they divorced.

A source told The Sun that Jolie, 46, and Miller are back in touch after they spent time with her sons Pax, 17, and Knox, 12, during her family’s recent trip to New York.

“On her first evening with Jonny, Angelina only took Knox along, and they got on like a house on fire,” the source claimed. “Knox is a sweet kid, and I imagine she decided he was the easiest one to begin introductions with.”

The insider went on to say that Jolie returned to Miller’s apartment with Pax a day after Knox met the actor, 48, so that the teen could get to know the “guy she’s always spoken so fondly about.”

“They only hung out for a short while at Jonny’s apartment, but they seemed to get along well,” the source said.

Though the source did not elaborate on whether or not Jolie and Miller’s relationship is romantic, the insider said that the actress was happy that her son has a familiar face in New York, just in case he decides to attend college there.

“Angie is very happy because Pax keeps making noise about moving to New York someday soon, maybe even for school,” the source claimed. “She’s glad he’ll have someone she trusts around for him to go to for advice or just to see a friendly face.”

“Angelina wanted to give her kids an educational trip to the big city, and she wanted to spend some time reconnecting with Jonny, too,” added the insider.

Jolie and Miller met in 1995 while working on the film Hackers, and they married the next year. Their busy schedules in Hollywood soon tore them apart, however, and they separated in September of 1997 before divorcing early in 1999.

Page Six reported that in 2004, Jolie said that divorcing Miller “was probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever done.” She would go on to be married to Billy Bob Thornton from 2000 to 2003 and Pitt from 2014 until 2019. Her custody battle with Pitt remains ongoing at this time.
