Hollywood is in mourning after the death of beloved television star Harry Anderson, who was found dead in his Asheville, North Carolina home on April 16. He was 65 years-old.

Anderson’s cause of death has not been revealed to the public, and few details about the circumstances of his passing are available at this time.

Anderson had a lengthy career in television, appearing in shows like “Cheers” and “Dave’s World.” However, he is arguably best known for playing Judge Harry T. Stone in “Night Court” from 1984-1992. He was nominated for an Emmy award three times for his role on the show.

Born in Rhode Island, Anderson got his start on “Saturday Night Live” and quickly established himself as an amazing comedic actor. After appearing on “Night Court” for eight years, Anderson was given his own sitcom “Dave’s World,” which ran from 1993-1997.

After the cancellation of “Dave’s World,” Anderson withdrew from Hollywood to focus on his true passion: magic! He had been an amateur magician for most of his life, and he decided to make magic the focus of his post-acting life.

Anderson is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Morgan, and two children.
