On Friday, we reported that a crew member had died on the set of the ABC sitcom “The Conners.” Now, new details about his passing are coming to light as stars of the show are speaking out to honor him.

The crew member who passed away after suffering a medical emergency on set has been identified as Terrel Richmond, who “The Conners” team remembered as “a dear member of our audio crew” and “a lovely man.” Michael Fishman, who has portrayed D.J. Conner on both “Roseanne” and the spinoff “The Conners,” took to Instagram to reposted an image from director Jody Hahn honoring Richmond after his passing.

Richmond was a sound engineer who spent over twenty years working on “Roseanne” and “The Conners,” according to Cinema Blend. He sadly suffered a medical emergency while on CBS Studio Center’s Stage 22 catwalk during production on one of the final episodes of season 3.

Paramedics did everything they could to resuscitate him, but they were unfortunately unable to do so, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An official cause of death has not been reported for Richmond at the time of this writing.

In the comments section of his post, Fishman wrote of Richmond, “We shared a stage, large portions of our lives, and we will forever be connected.” In response to a comment from another fan, Fishman wrote, that at the end Richmond “was surrounded by people who love and respect him.”

When someone who claimed to be a childhood friend of Richmond’s responded to the post, Fishman wrote, “He was truly a gentle giant with a heart to match. Our moments shared, memories made, and time echoes through eternity.”:

“As I said yesterday his name is forever remembered, forever written alongside mine,” the actor added. “He was my friend, my peer, my collaborator on making moments that will live forever. It is my humble honor to have my name next to his, to have shared a set, a journey, and part of our lives. Sending you my condolences.”

Richmond’s death is a sad ending to production of season 3 of “The Conners,” which was coming to an end right as he passed away. ABC has not yet revealed whether the show will be coming back for a fourth season.
