While appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday, Gwen Stefani shocked everyone by offering to make Ellen DeGeneres her maid of honor in her upcoming wedding to Blake Shelton.

“You haven’t been here since you’ve been engaged—what’s happening with the wedding planning?” DeGeneres asked, according to Yahoo News. “I know Miley Cyrus said that she would sing at your wedding. Is there anything I can do?”

“I was thinking about that a lot and I was thinking, I was picturing like a mauve, like, bridesmaid,” Stefani replied. “Maybe maid of honor, you know? We can put some extensions in and we can do—make it full, like, full flower arrangements. All that stuff.”

DeGeneres agreed to the proposal with absolutely no hesitation!

“Just tell me the time and the place and I will be there,” DeGeneres said. “I don’t mind doing any of that for you, because you’re my friend and anything you ask, I will wear. I will put extensions in my hair. Anything at all. That’s how much I love you Gwen.”

Shelton and Stefani met in 2015 when both were coaches on “The Voice,” and he finally proposed to her in October of last year. Stefani also talked to DeGeneres about her recent collaborations with Shelton, saying that she is still reeling from her recent Academy of Country Music Awards nomination for the couple’s duet, “Nobody But You.”

People Magazine reported that Stefani said that the nomination was a shock because she “really just hopped on a couple” of Shelton’s songs, which she called an “honor.”

“Blake Shelton has 27 number one radio hits, I never in my wildest dreams would imagine being part of that,” she explained. “To be on a song that goes number one in a genre that I have no business being part of, twice, and now up for these awards, it’s pretty monumental and exciting and unexpected.”

Stefani added that she is loving all that she is learning about the country music world.

“Country music, the whole genre, is such an incredible writing community that for me I feel so much respect and I’ve learned so much from all the songs that Blake has shown me and all the different artists,” she said. “I relate to that because I’m a songwriter so it’s just been another gift along the whole journey that I’ve been on to be a part of that. It’s really been fun.”
