Christopher Hopkins, who is better known online as “The Makeover Guy,” is a makeover guru who specializes in giving women over the age of 45 a new lease on life with his incredible makeovers. Just because he specializes in working on older women, however, doesn’t mean that he can’t work his magic on a younger woman every now and then.

Grace is a millennial who travelled to Christopher’s salon in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her mother, Stacy, who is a big fan of Christopher’s work. When Grace found herself sitting in Christopher’s famous salon chair, she said that she was open to anything, except for one very specific change.

“I would not like to see, like, any pixie cuts,” Grace said. “I’d be willing to get medium hair, even like a bob, I’m comfortable with that. Again, as long as it’s not, like, the pixie cut or anything.”

Grace’s age isn’t the only thing that makes her different from Christopher’s normal clients. When asked about their biggest fears, most of them have a deeper answer, like, “I’m worried I’ll never get out of my cycle of self-hate.” As for Grace, she has an entirely different mindset when it comes to her fears in the salon.

“My biggest fear is that my butt will go numb sitting in the chair all day!” Grace said.

Christopher knew just what to do with Grace, transforming her from a dull blonde to a fiery redhead! As he worked on her, Grace was cracking jokes, which is part of what made this makeover so unforgettable for Christopher.

“I don’t come back to many of my makeovers, but when this one pops up I watch, and smile, and remember how happy Grace made me that day,” he reflected some time later. “I only laugh like that with friends that I knew in my early 20’s.”
