If ever there was the perfect theme song for 2020, it’s the one spontaneously created by a little girl from Philadelphia. 4-year-old Milan was videoed by her mother while singing an on-the-spot original tune titled ‘Leave Me Alone,’ and the hilarious performance has gone viral on social media.

Mom Jovan Phillips-Lloyd created an Instagram account to document all of Milan’s hilarious antics, which has garnered a following of over 380,000 followers. So far though, her ‘Leave Me Alone’ song has been her most popular hit yet, being viewed more than a million times, thanks in large part to being shared by actress Taraji P. Henson who said:
“It’s the vibrato for me!!! SHE IS A BIG MOOD!!”
While her daughter has always loved singing, her mother tells TODAY PARENTS that her personality Has developed in a whole new way during the past year’s quarantine.
“Before, Milan was very shy. She wouldn’t speak to people, but I promise when quarantine started, she started saying hello to the neighbors and knows all their names.
“Everything you see on Instagram has always been her, but in public she was more reserved. Now she speaks to people and gives them a little too much information!”
While the video is silly and garners plenty of chuckles from viewers, Milan actually has a darn good singing voice for a 4-year-old, with many viewers commenting on this and encouraging her parents to pursue a music career for their Instagram star. But when asked what she wants to be when she grows up, the little girl’s heartwarming response was that she wanted to be a “mom.”
For now, her parents want the little diva to enjoy her childhood and life with her older brothers who are 10, 13, and 16. Phillips-Lloyd says:
“People are saying she’s a prodigy or going to be a singer, but I want people to be mindful she is still 4.
“I want her to enjoy who she is. I don’t want the world to expect her to do things. We are just going to enjoy it and take it day by day.”
Her mother says she will never force her daughter to create any type of content, but as long as she’s having fun, she’ll keep whipping out her smartphone and sharing the adorable antics of her daughter. We definitely hope she continues her posts of Milan Marie so we can all enjoy some of the joy this little girl with the big personality brings to her family and the world.
