There’s an old saying that goes “when it rains, it pours,” referring to how bad things often tend to seem to happen to us all at once. Joe is a woman from the United Kingdom who knows this all too well, as she recently found herself being hit with several health challenges at once.
“I’ve had some health issues in the past seven or eight years … ovarian cancer, I was run over, and I had blood poisoning,” said Joe, who hails from Yorkshire.
Wanting to cheer herself up after all this negativity, Joe decided to travel across the world to the Minneapolis, Minnesota salon of Christopher Hopkins, who is better known as “The Makeover Guy.” Joe knew she would be in good hands with Christopher because he specializes in giving women over the age of 45 a new lease on life with incredible makeovers.
”The whole mission is to uplift behavior through beauty,” Christopher said in the trailer video for his YouTube channel. “How you present yourself: how you speak, how you walk, how you talk, how you present yourself to the world.”
When asked why she decided to travel across the world for a makeover, Joe replied, “Christopher’s the best, why wouldn’t you go to the best?”
Christopher knew just what to do with Joe, dying her hair blonde and doing her makeup in a way that made her natural beauty shine through. Once he was done with her, Joe didn’t even recognize herself!
“Oh god…doesn’t look like me!” she exclaimed.
Social media users agreed that Christopher outdid himself with this one, and that it was one of his best makeovers ever.
“OMG…she looks like a young sexy ‘Adele’. That is amazing!” one user commented, with another adding, “She doesn’t even look like the same person. What a fantastic makeover. You did it again.”
“Stunning, beautiful and young looking,” a third user commented. “Enjoy the new you.”
In the end, Christopher had just one question for Joe after she traveled across the world for this makeover, asking, “am I worth it?”
“Definitely,” Joe replied emphatically.
