The former “Fuller House” star Candace Cameron Bure fired back at her “haters” this week after she received backlash over a family Christmas photo that she posted on social media.

Taken by photographer Melissa Coulier, the photo showed Bure posing alongside her husband Valeri, a former professional hockey player, and their three children, daughter Natasha, 22, and sons Lev, 20, and Maksim, 18.

“I posted my family Christmas photo and sadly, there were so many unkind comments. Do you think it’s funny to criticize someone’s children? To make jokes about them? To critique our poses? The direction in which we are looking? Our physical appearance and facial expressions?” Bure wrote. “I wished blessings upon everyone as I shared it in the spirit of a happy new year, yet so many of you came back with jokes about our appearance and criticism of what you thought would have been a better photo.”

“Shame on you. It doesn’t matter if you’re 10 or 90 years old, rude is rude,” she added. “Be better than that. I’m praying for humanity. Manners and respect. If you don’t like something, just move on. There are people and real feelings behind every screen. P.S. Please don’t tell me to ignore the ‘haters.’ There were plenty of well meaning people who thought it would be funny to point out things and share their commentary, ‘with love.’ Umm… that’s not love. That’s rude. Try kind. It looks good on everyone.”

This came after a series of negative comments came in about the photo on social media.

“This is a very weird photo,” commented one user, who added that one of Bure’s sons “looks stoned,” that her daughter “looks like a Disney movie evil queen” and that she’d “fire the photographer” based on the photo. Bure’s daughter fired back at that specific comment, saying “Oh, my god, I didn’t smile or look at the camera. Sue me!!!”

This comes months after Bure clapped back at haters who were giving her backlash over a photo she posted of her husband playfully placing his hand on her breast.

“‘Oh that’s so inappropriate that you posted that as a Christian. You should be more modest,’” she said of the hateful comments she received. “I’ve been married for 24 years. I’m a Christian, my husband’s a Christian and I’m really proud that we’ve managed to stay married for 24 years. And the fact that we have fun and we flirt together, this is part of what makes our marriage work. This is something to be celebrated as a Christian.”

“Sex doesn’t stop once you get married,” Bure added. “Sex is the blessing of marriage and I hate when Christians are like, no, you have to pretend like you’ve never had sex, and we only know that you’ve had sex three times because you’ve had three children. If we are to promise ourselves for one another and preach saving yourself for marriage, then sex needs to be celebrated within marriage.”
