After how difficult 2020 has been for all of us, it can be easy to forget that there are still good people out there doing kind deeds for others. That’s why it’s so heartwarming that a story is going viral this week that can remind us all that there is still good in the world!

A family recently took to the social networking platform Nextdoor to reveal that an anonymous neighbor replaced their child’s stolen scooter left it on their front porch along with a touching note.

The note read as follows:

“Hey neighbor! I saw on nextdoor that someone stole your scooter. Not cool 🙁 I remember when I was 13 and someone stole my bike and how sad I felt.

That being said, I hope you enjoy this green scooter! 2020 has been crazy enough. I wasn’t about to let someone steal your joy!

Keep your head up little man

-your neighbor.”

Neighbor Note

The little boy had been devastated when his scooter was stolen, but this note and act of kindness from a stranger was enough to restore both his joy and his faith in humanity!

“My son couldn’t have a bigger smile on his face this evening because of an unknown neighbor who left this on the porch!” the parents shared in an update.

The boy’s parents went on to say that their son was so inspired by the act of generosity that he would like to pay it forward.

“This is pure kindness and such a beautiful way to pay it forward,” the parents added. “My son wants to help someone else. Now also! Thank you so much and may wonderful karma spread your way. Happy holidays and cheers to you in 2021!”

Can you imagine what would happen if all of us paid this act of kindness forward by doing something nice for a stranger? The world would be such a better place.

After the most difficult year that many of us will ever see in our lifetimes, we could all certainly use some kindness in the world. Let’s all follow the example set by this kind neighbor, and do something generous for a stranger the next time we have the opportunity to do so.
