The Hollywood star George Clooney has some big goals when it comes to 2021. After being named as the “Sexiest Man Alive” by People Magazine twice, Clooney wants the coveted title for a third time.

While appearing on SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show,” host Jess Cagle introduced Clooney as a “producer, director and star.”

“And two-time ‘Sexiest Man Alive,'” Clooney interjected.

“Which is better, the Sexiest Man Alive or the two Oscars?” Cagle asked with a laugh, to which Clooney responded, “I mean, I think you know. I’m lobbying for a third one, no one’s ever won three.”

Fox News reported that Clooney was first named as the “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1997 before winning the title again in 2006. He was the third actor to achieve this honor after Richard Gere and Brad Pitt, and Johnny Depp would later become the fourth double-honoree in 2009.

“I worked with some people, Matt Damon and Brad Pitt on, you know, their [‘Sexiest Man’] campaigns. I thought they did a very good job,” Clooney explained. “So, I feel like now I’m looking at Michael B. Jordan to see if he wants me to work with him to get a repeat… I’m more of a counselor now.”

Clooney was joined in this interview by his Midnight Sky costars Felicity Jones, Kyle Chandler and David Oyelowo, who got in on this joke by commending the star on his “record” achievement and brag.

“We’ve been doing this for about 25 minutes and this is the longest George has taken to mention being the two-time ‘Sexiest Man Alive,’ so well done George,” Oyelowo said as he cracked up.

“Thank you, David,” Clooney responded. “And you know what? I’m gonna work with you on this because I see sexy in your future, man.”

“I will tell my wife this,” Oyelowo retorted. “It’s gonna help me a lot today, thank you.”

This comes after it was revealed that Clooney was rushed to the hospital during filming of Midnight Sky after he lost 28 pounds for the role.

“I think I was trying too hard to lose the weight quickly and probably wasn’t taking care of myself,” Clooney told the U.K. Mirror.

The star, who also directed the movie, went on to say, “It took a few weeks to get better and as a director, it’s not so easy because you need energy. We were out on this glacier in Finland, which made it a lot harder work. But it certainly helped with the character.”
