As country music legend Dolly Parton is preparing to turn 75 in two months, she’s speaking out to defiantly say that she “ain’t got time” to age.

“I don’t think about my life in terms of numbers. First of all, I ain’t never gonna be old because I ain’t got time to be old. I can’t stop long enough to grow old,” Parton told Oprah Winfrey while appearing on Apple TV+’s “The Oprah Conversation,” which airs on Friday.

“I bet you I won’t look much different when I’m 95, if I live that long, because I’m like the Gabor sisters,” she added, referring to the late Hungarian-born socialite and actress sisters.

When it comes to aging in the coming years, Parton plans to rely on plastic surgery and makeup, which she has previously admitted to sleeping in.

“I’m gonna look like a cartoon,” Parton said jokingly, according to Page Six. “I’ll have on the makeup. I’ll look as young as my plastic surgeons will allow me and [with] all the makeup and lighting and all that. But I think more than anything, it’s about what comes from inside you.”

Getting serious again, Parton said that “attitude” is a big role when it comes to staying youthful while aging.

“It’s an attitude and you gotta shine from within,” she explained. “Sometimes, that can make you feel young and make you seem young to other people.”

Parton has definitely stayed as busy as ever, as she just released her first Christmas album in decades this year.

“I’ve been wanting to release a Christmas album for a while now because I just love Christmas and though we started recording before the pandemic, this year became the perfect time to spread some extra joy,” Parton said. “I think the spirit of Christmas and what it truly means can spill out into our families and make this a better Christmas than ever. Hopefully, ‘A Holly Dolly Christmas’ will make everyone feel holly and jolly this season.”

Putting this new album together was no easy task amidst the coronavirus, however.

“We were working in our little circle with our masks and with our gloves and we had our engineer and we just had the very few people that we had to have when we were in there when I was singing,” Parton told Billboard.

“We’ve been very smart, very careful, because we’re trying to protect ourselves and I’m an older person,” she added. “I’m not out to get it if I don’t [have] to, I’m hoping I can outrun all that. We’ve been all very, very smart, but it didn’t slow us up.”
