Any parent to young children can expect to be woken up to the sound of kids banging on their door or screaming down the hall. However, parents to small pets expect a little more quiet in the morning! In the video below, however, a family of cat owners learn the hard way that they can’t count on their feline pet allowing them to sleep in in peace!

Cats are known for their intelligence, and this video proves that they are indeed some of the smartest pets around. The owners closed their bedroom door in the hopes of sleeping in the morning this video was captured, but their cat was not having any of it!

At first, the cat tried purring at the door to wake up his owners, but it quickly became clear that this wasn’t going to work, so the cat went to a more drastic plan to get their attention.

Watch as the cat starts banging on the door with her feet, getting louder and louder until her owners are wide awake. This family clearly does not need an alarm clock, because their cat is ready to do whatever it takes to get them up and out of bed early in the morning!
