Lincoln Tanner is only one-year-old, but his life has already been filled with plenty of heartache and pain. That’s why when his mom Abby saw a piano in the lobby while waiting for yet another doctor’s appointment with her son, she decided to sit down and give her son a personal concert.
Lincoln suffers from a rare condition known as malignant migrating partial seizures of infancy. Some days he endures as many as 200 seizures. While his time on earth may be limited, his mom is doing everything she can to let him know that he is loved and be sure that he is as happy as possible, even if that means singing a song to him in the middle of a hospital lobby.
While waiting at the Duke Cancer Institute in South Carolina, Abby says she saw the piano and decided to play a song for her son. Knowing that he would be comforted by the sound of her voice and that he would be able to feel the vibrations from the piano, she began to play and sing a tune.

She chose the song “Never Enough”, a tune from the movie soundtrack of “The Greatest Showman.” The words are perfect for the strong mother and son duo that obviously are enjoying taking a break from the pain and frustration of their regular daily routine.
Abby’s voice is amazing too, as you’ll hear in the video. It’s no wonder the video has gone viral. If her obvious love for her son isn’t enough, her voice will definitely capture your attention. It caught the attention of the hospital staff and other visitors who gathered around to watch the mom sing to her precious son.
This loving mother’s impromptu performance was simply a soothing gesture for her son, but has gone viral and brought attention to Lincoln’s rare condition. Abby says she’s gained more support by her actions than she could have ever imagined, especially because her intentions were merely to soothe her son.
