Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, had his first birthday on Wednesday, and to mark the occasion, his parents released a rare video of the adorable little boy.

Fox News reported that the video was filmed by Harry himself in Los Angeles, California, and it shows Meghan reading the children’s book “Duck! Rabbit!” to their son. The couple is supporting Save With Stories campaign in the U.S. as well as Save The Children UK, and they are hoping to use Archie’s birthday to raise awareness of the importance of exposing children to books during this difficult time.

This comes after Harry opened up about parenthood like never before in a candid Zoom call for WellChild, one of his charities which offers care to seriously ill children and young people in the U.K.

“There’s a hell of a lot of positives that are happening at the same time and being able to have family time – so much family time – that you almost think, ‘Do I feel guilty for having so much family time?’” Harry said during the call. “You’ve got to celebrate those moments where you are just on the floor rolling around in hysterics.

Harry and Meghan have moved to her hometown of Los Angeles, California weeks after they officially stepped down as senior members of the British royal family. Royal expert Leslie Carroll spoke out to mark Archie’s birthday by saying that growing up in L.A. could be a good thing for him.

“[The Duke and Duchess’] move to Meghan’s hometown of Los Angeles, with its thriving and vibrant multicultural environment, will offer Archie the chance in his most developmental years to experience a totally heterogeneous, multiracial population,” she told Fox News. “Even if the Sussexes were to someday return to the U.K., or even reside in a Commonwealth country and resume their duties as full-time royals, the experiences that Archie will receive as a baby in America … and where he can regularly see other kids who resemble him, will be invaluable as he grows up.”

We would like to wish baby Archie a very happy birthday!
