Aspirin has a lot of uses. We all know that. It’s great for relieving pain associated with headaches and joint pain, and doctors prescribe it for its benefits to your heart. However, there are many more uses for the little white pill that you might not know about!

Did you know that it can help start your car by reviving a dead car battery? By dropping two pills into your car battery, the acetylsalicylic acid in the aspirin will mix with the sulfuric acid in the battery and give it one last charge to get you to the next service station. Pretty handy, huh?

Not only can aspirin extend the life of your battery, but it can also extend the life of cut flowers. Just crush up one pill and mix it in the water before adding cut flowers to the vase to extend the life of your flowers. This trick works especially well with roses.

Aspirin has several tricks up its sleeve for skin issues too. Crush up one pill and mix it with lemon juice to make a paste and rub it into your skin anywhere you are prone to acne breakouts. Let it sit a few minutes then rinse off. You can also mix seven aspirin pills with one tablespoon of honey and three tablespoons of plain yogurt to make a mask for your face that helps reduce redness and blotchiness. Just mix the ingredients together, apply to your face, let sit for 15 minutes, then rinse off.

When it comes to itchy bug bites, aspirin can help fix those too. Dissolve one pill in a bit of water and rub the mixture onto irritated skin – the irritation and itchiness will be gone. For callused skin, mix aspirin with lemon juice to form a paste, apply the paste to thickened areas of skin, wrap in plastic wrap, let sit for a while, then rinse off and scrub calluses away.

Aspirin is also pretty good at cleaning things around your house too. To clean soap scum from a dirty shower, dissolve five aspirin pills into your spray bottle of cleaner, spray around the soiled areas, let it sit for 30 minutes, then wipe the scum away with a dry cloth. The little white pill works wonders on yellow armpit stains in clothing too. Dissolve an aspirin in warm water, pour over the yellow stain and let sit for 30 minutes, then launder as usual. The stain will wash right out.

This handy little pill isn’t just good for your skin. It can help with hair issues too. To fix a bad case of dandruff mix up two crushed pills into your regular shampoo and use your shampoo as usual. It will clear up your dandruff in no time. You know that green color that hair gets when it’s been exposed to too much chlorine? To get rid of the color, dissolve eight aspirin pills in warm water, massage into your hair and let sit for 15 minutes then rinse it out. Your hair will be back to normal.
