John Lewis & Partners have created yet another incredible Christmas commercial — this one starring Sir. Elton John.

This commercial is one for the ages — actually though, it shows him digressing in age and even though it’s from last year — “The Boy and the Piano” has indeed resurfaced as the holidays approach.

The story begins in present-day and works its way backward throughout Elton’s life. John’s hit “Your Song” is sung and portrayed by younger versions of himself performing at different locations, showing him on private planes, stadiums and recording studios.

As the commercial unfolds it shows how the “power of one gift. And how that gift inspired, changed and influenced the course of a little boy’s life.”

The YouTube caption says, “That little boy just happens to be Elton John. The film begins in present day and works backwards chronologically through Elton’s life right until the moment on Christmas morning when he received the special gift that changed his life.”

Think about it: The 71 year old legend has had an extremely successful career and is known worldwide for his music — because of this piano.

The storyline ends with a very young Elton John being gifted a piano by his mother on Christmas morning.
