As a mom, I know how hard it is to take a little one to the store. When I had my third child it became even harder. My kids are each three years apart and it was still a struggle some days so I can’t even imagine what it is like for Krechelle Carter when she heads out with her crew.

Carter is a 27-year-old mom with six kids all under the age of six-years-old. How she does it I’ll never know. I’m super impressed. She says that although some days are a struggle for her, what really gives her the most trouble is people’s opinions about her situation and how rude they can truly be.

Yes, the children all belong to her, and yes, they all have the same father. Carter says getting pregnant with their first child wasn’t easy for her and husband Dave. They tried for 18 months before they finally conceived. The couple was over the moon excited when they finally found out they were expecting.

The next four pregnancies happened before the couple even tried. The fourth pregnancy even happened before she’d gotten her first period after giving birth to baby number three and while she was still breastfeeding her third child.

When the couple found out they were expecting number five, Dave was in the bathroom bathing the four children when Carter poked him with the positive pregnancy test. His response was nothing short of amazing. “You’re the strongest woman I know. You are a f****ing motherhood rockstar….babe, if anyone’s got this; it’s us.” How sweet is that?

Carter says that baby number five was good, and when number six came along it was sensational! Although she has tried to ignore the comments she gets when she takes her crew out and about, it is sometimes really hard to just walk away. To cope with the comments, she’s come up with some extraordinary comebacks.

When asked if all of the children are his (pointing to Dave), Carter replies that they think at least four are genetically his. If they ask if Dave is her husband, her reply is, “No. My husband is at home. He needs his rest. This is my lover Fernando.”

But it doesn’t stop there! When asked if she was planning to have any more, she once replied, “Well, my husband’s had a vasectomy if that’s what your asking, but Fernando, my lover, has not so I guess we’re just throwing it to the wind.”

Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for people to pass judgement onto someone with more than a couple of kids, but really, is it any of our business? If the children are loved and cared for, then by all means, let them have however many kids they want to have!
