Remember the alphabet song most of us learned as a child?
Heck, we still sing it today sometimes. Anyway, the familiar melody has been changed and the internet hates it.
Its the part that is “LMNOP” that some people say so fast it becomes one letter and is pronounced “elemenopee” that is altered in this rendition of the famous tune.
To be more specific, they’ve slowed down the L, M, N, O and P sequence.
The rendered version was created by Dream English and first posted to YouTube in 2012.
According to its website, the goal of Dream English is to “make educational music that is not only filled with important phrases and grammar, but is also enjoyable to listen to.”
Apparently changing the rhythm of the song and clarifying those five letters is supposed to help non-native English speakers learn the alphabet. The Dream English creator — aka Matt R is a musician, songwriter and teacher, he said in the YouTube description that he teaches “young learners of English as a foreign language, and have found this way (is) the most effective for teaching the letters.”
