Broadway’s “Hamilton” star Miguel Cervantes and his family will be hosting a celebration of life for his daughter Adelaide Grace. The three year old suffered from a severe form of childhood epilepsy and died this past Saturday.
Soon after Adelaide’s passing, her mother posted on social media that Adelaide “went peacefully in her mother’s arms, surrounded by love. Finally, she is free from pain + seizures but leaves our hearts shattered. We love you so much Adelaideybug and forever after.”
Cervantes tweeted, “Dear everyone. Just wanted you to know that @KellyGC411, Jackson and I are doing ok.” He said, “We are comforted knowing there are so many people sending positive vibes. We are seeing all of it. ❤ and thanks.”
The celebration will take place on Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Harold Washington Chicago Public Library at 10 a.m. Cervantes and his wife, Kelly, are requesting people who attend the celebration wear their “most colorful attire.”
