Police officer Mike Carden was making his nightly patrol when he saw something underneath a street light that caught his attention. He started to pass it by, but then decided to turn around. What he saw was a tiny kitten stranded and alone. He knew he couldn’t just leave her there.

Carden’s heart was broken at the sight of the kitten so he parked his patrol car and went to get the furry little creature. He wrapped her up in a blanket and took her back to the police station where he placed her in a box and planned to keep her until animal control could come and get her.

When Carden’s co-worker, Wallace, stopped by Carden’s desk, he was immediately drawn to the tiny grey kitten napping inside the box. He picked her up and cuddled with her. Listening to her tiny little purring melted his heart.

Wallace couldn’t stand for the fuzzy grey tabby to be left alone, so he swooped her up and took him with her in his patrol car to work his shift. He spent his full shift working his regular duties while keeping the tiny kitten warm and cozy. By the end of the shift, he knew she wasn’t going to animal control.

Wallace adopted the kitten as his own and named her Kelsey. He and the little kitten are the best of friends and she follows him everywhere he goes. Little Kelsey will never have to worry about being alone again thanks to the quick thinking of Officer Carden and her new, loving owner Wallace.
