Losing a child is the worst experience that any parent can go through. Numerous children go missing every single day, and though some are found, others are never seen again.

Wang Mingqing’s daughter went missing when she was just 3 years-old after he took her with him to sell fruit with his wife. It was only when the couple began to pack up to head home that they realized their daughter was gone.

No trace of the little girl was ever found, and though the months dragged into years, Wang never gave up searching for her. He ended up becoming a taxi driver just so that he could meet more people and spread the word about his missing girl.

Wang drove around in his taxi every day with a large sign on the back of it detailing his daughter’s disappearance. He would also hand out cards with her story on it to everyone who got in his car.

Wang told local reporters in China that he was convinced his daughter would one day be sitting in his car. He wanted to make sure she knew that he never gave up looking for her.

A woman named Kang heard his story and contacted Wang, telling him she had no idea who her parents were. After she took a DNA test, it was confirmed that she was indeed his long lost daughter!

After she went missing, Kang was adopted by a local family and had been living in the same city she had disappeared from all her life. Wang could not believe that she had been so close to him the entire time!

“I can’t tell you how much hope, disappointment, and despair we have gone through these past 24 years. Now we can finally meet again,” he said.
