A hilarious video is going viral this week showing a leopard have a bizarre standoff with a prickly porcupine as he struggles to figure out how to capture it.

The video was filmed by Gerrit Meyer, who was driving in Kruger National Park in South Africa when he came upon the two animals. In the video, the leopard can be seen following the porcupine in circles on a road.

The porcupine does not seem bothered at all by the leopard, who repeatedly fails in trying to capture it. At one point, the leopard even lies on the road trying to avoid the spines as it unsuccessfully darts out a paw in an attempt to catch the porcupine.

Through it all, the porcupine seems to be unfazed by the leopard and continues walking around in circles. The best moment comes when the leopard seems to look directly into the camera seemingly baffled by its opponent.

The video ends with the leopard seemingly giving up with a look of disappointment on its face.

The video has quickly gone viral, making internet users everywhere laugh.

“Hell that looked like me and my husband last night when I told him I wasn’t in the mood!!! Lol,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Now that’s working for your dinner.”

“Seriously doubt porcupine meat is worth the trouble,” a third user wrote.
