Anyone who has ever travelled on airplanes knows how frustrating delays are. Not only do they stop us from getting where we need to be on time, they are also incredibly boring. That’s why some Southwest Airlines employees just went above and beyond to entertain their passengers when they were hit with a two hour delay by holding a worst driver’s license photo contest!

Kristen Dundas of Windermere, Florida was irritated first when her flight was delayed for hours getting to her gate. However, her irritation quickly disappeared when the gate agent announced the hilarious game of “Win a prize for the worst driver’s license picture.”

“My flight to Washington DC has been delayed for almost 2 and a half hours and I was getting HEATED until this gate agent started playing games with everyone waiting to pass the time and now I’m like I’ll wait all damn night if you keep this up,” Kristen wrote, adding the hashtag #amazing.

Kristen, who was flying to Washington D.C. from Orlando to visit friends, tagged Southwest Airlines in her post, and someone from the company quickly responded.

“I’m glad our Agent was able to make the delay a little more bearable for y’all, Kristen! We hope to have you on your way ASAP,” the spokesperson, said, adding when Kristen asked the company to give the Orlando-based team “kudos,” “Send over your confirmation in a DM, and I’ll be sure they get the recognition they deserve!”

When Kristen later recounter her experience to reporters, she said that prizes for the worst photos included Southwest merchandise and $25 vouchers toward future flights.

“I was really irritated that the flight kept getting delayed,” Kristen said. “Once he started playing games, I was laughing and having a great time and didn’t even mind that the flight was delayed.”

No wonder so many people love Southwest!
