Jubilee is a one year-old dog who was given up for being “too affectionate,” but thankfully, she got a happy ending when she found the loving forever home she deserved.

Jubilee’s former owner brought her to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Conroe, Texas saying that she was far too clingy to remain in their home.

“She always wants to be by my side,” the former owner complained to shelter workers.

“He had a whole list of other reasons for turning her in: ate his sofa, chewed a baseboard, a cushion, etc.,” said Minda Emas Harris, rescue coordinator for the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. “He brought her to a shelter, hoping we would do what we are supposed to do — find her a home.”

When the shelter shared Jubilee’s story on social media, it immediately went viral, and over 35,000 offers poured in to adopt him.

Samantha Fewox ended up being the lucky person who was chosen to adopt Jubilee.

“It touched me. She loved so much,” Samantha said. “I knew I was supposed to have her.”

Jubilee bonded with Samantha’s teenage son as soon as she entered their home.

“She loves him,” Samantha said. “She does stay right by your side.”

“I am so thankful he made the decision to do that or we would not have this sweet little dog in our life,” she added. “I think it’ll all be great. I think it was meant to be.”

Unlike Jubilee’s former owner, her new family absolutely loves the affection that she shows them.

We’re so glad that Jubilee has found the loving forever home that she deserved!
