A 60 year-old homeless man who has been living on the streets of Dallas, Texas for the past twenty years was just treated to a makeover that he hopes will change his life forever.

A local stylist who goes by “Mrs. Hot Hands” met Larry Green as he struggled on the streets, and she decided to try making a difference in his life by offering him a makeover.

“We just want to make him feel good and show him just because he is not financially stable right now that he can still get appreciated,” Mrs. Hot Hands said.

Larry was particularly excited that the makeover was an early Father’s Day gift, as he is a father of four, grandfather of eleven, and great-grandfather of three. Though a makeover is a simple gift to some, Larry said it was huge for him.

“She is letting me know that I am still human,” he said of Mrs. Hot Hands.

She began by cutting Larry’s overgrown hair and grooming his beard. She also got him some new clothes, an overnight stay at a hotel, and dinner with friends. The change in Larry’s spirit was immediately clear to everyone.

“I know she’s made me look like somebody,” he said. “I don’t feel as low. I don’t feel like I’m nobody.”

Larry’s main goal in life is to reestablish a connection to his family and get his own life back on track, and he is hoping that this makeover will help him do those things.

“It’s a blessing,” Larry said. “I can see the real me.”
