Nicole Tremblay is a waitress from New York City who is one of the most popular employees at the restaurant she works at. Customers and her fellow workers alike love being around Nicole because she always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face. That’s why nobody who knows Nicole is surprised about the massive gift a stranger gave her after she served him lunch recently.

Nicole was working her normal lunch shift at Dock Brown’s Lakeside Tavern when she was assigned to one special customer, and she said afterwards that “the day went from a regular day shift to a day I will never forget.” Nicole and the man started to talk about their lives, and she shared with him that she is five and a half months pregnant with a baby girl.

When it came time for the man to pay his bill, it came out to just $23, so Nicole was not expecting much of a tip. She then got the shock of her life when the man left her a tip of $1,000 along with a sweet note that read, “Best wishes with the baby!”

Nicole was left speechless about the incredible gift, and though she never got the chance to thank him in person, she attempted to in a post on Facebook.

“I hope one day we cross paths again as I was unable to say thank you before you left, you sir deserve all the good karma coming your way,” Nicole wrote. “And may you set an example for other people out there. I’m not saying everyone has to go out and leave a $1,000 tip, but any type of kindness you are able to share with the rest of the world can make such a huge impact on someone’s life.”

Nicole added that she already knows how she’ll spend the money.

“It’s the start of my savings for my daughter,” she wrote.
