Dogs are known as man’s best friend because there is nothing like the love and loyalty that they show to humans. Now, a video is going viral that shows this in the most adorable way possible!

Prince is a cute Labradoodle who lives in New York City with his parents Sara and Zach Lebowhl, and he loves his family more than anything.

Sara became pregnant with her first child back in 2017, and Prince refused to leave her side for virtually the entire pregnancy. He seemed to understand right away that their family was about to get bigger.

Sara eventually gave birth to a baby girl named Halle, and when they first introduced her to Prince, he bonded with her immediately.

“When she first came home, he went right up to her and sniffed her,” Sara said. “He knew she was little and fragile. But he always stayed close and kept a very close eye on her. He was truly a nanny dog from the first day.”

Over the past two years, Halle and Prince have continued to get closer and closer. Now that she is two years-old, Halle is sleeping in her own room, but she still sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night. When Sara and Zach go to check on her at night, Prince always goes with them to make sure that everything is alright.

Eventually, Sara decided to see if Prince could put Halle to bed himself. He typically sleeps in her and Zach’s room, so Sara started leaving both their door and Halle’s open at night. Whenever Halle starts to cry, Prince will now walk into her room to comfort her.

“Surprisingly it has worked out well,” Sara explained. “We crack the door open for him when she gets up, and he walks in to greet her. He has a little routine he does, including rolling around on the ground. Then he will look at her and lay down. The amazing thing is that this calms her, and she goes back to sleep.”

The nanny camera in Halle’s room has captured Prince’s nighttime routine with the toddler, and it’s incredible how fast he can calm her.

“Prince has been an unexpected savior, allowing us a bit more precious minutes to hours of sleep,” Sara said. “When he walks in the room, we know she is in good paws and we can all get some more rest.”
