On Monday, Prince Harry became a dad for the first time when Meghan Markle gave birth to their first child, a baby boy named Archie. Now, royal aide Emma Forbes is speaking out to say that Harry will be an “amazing father” because he’s “the one that’s got so much of Diana in him.”

“I was actually thinking about that this morning – how tragic it is that she’s not alive because she’d be the most incredible grandmother,” Emma continued, adding that she thinks Harry will be a “cool dad.”

“Harry will be one of those fathers that gets the balance right between being hands-on and taking adventures,” she said. “I could so see him traveling with a son at his side.”

Both Harry and his brother opened up about what Diana was like as a mother in the 2017 documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, with Harry saying that she was “one of the naughtiest parents.”

“She was very informal and really enjoyed the laughter and the fun,” William added. “She understood that there was a real life outside of palace walls.”

“She was our mum. She still is our mum,” Harry said. “And of course, as a son I would say this, she was the best mum in the world.”

Diana tragically passed away in a car accident in 1997, but after announcing his engagement to Meghan Markle in 2017, Harry said that the two would have gotten along well.

“I think she would be over the moon, jumping up and down, you know so excited for me, but then, as I said, would have probably been best friends – best friends with Meghan,” said Harry. “So no it’s – you know it is days like – days like today when – when I really miss having her around and miss being able to share the happy news. But you know with the ring and with everything else that’s going on I’m sure she’s…”

“She’s with us,” Meghan added, completing his sentence.

Diana would undoubtedly be very proud of the man Harry has become, and we can’t wait to see what he’s like as a father!
