Bamboo palm – This one can be used to get rid of trichloroethylene and benzene.

Snake plant – Experts have found that this sunlight-loving plant does wonders improving the quality of indoor air. In fact, experts at NASA have gone so far as to say that it’s one of the most powerful houseplants when it comes to absorbing airborne toxins such as nitrogen oxide, formaldehyde, xylene, benzene and trichloroethylene.

Pelargonium – This plant destroys bacteria and helps with your nervous system. Some have even said that it helps them sleep.
