A video is going viral this week showing the moment three police officers joined a basketball game being played by a group of teenagers instead of shutting it down after they were called for a noise complaint.
The video was filmed by Brian Glessner, a senior at Glenn Allen High School in Henrico, Virginia.
“We asked one of the officers to take a few shots while things were being sorted out by the hosts of the party and another officer,” Brandon explained. “This turned into a game of three on three basketball as they must have believed it wasn’t a big enough deal to shut down the party. They played us for about 30 minutes and the officers actually won the game.”

The kids playing the basketball game were drama students who were celebrating their high school’s production of “Sweeney Todd” on the Saturday night after their final performance. They were nervous at first when the police officers showed up, but it didn’t take long for the cops to put them at ease.
“The officers arrived at the party for a noise complaint as a group of around sixty of us were celebrating the show run of my High School’s production of ‘Sweeney Todd,'” Brian said. “I am 18 but everyone besides the officers range from 15-19 years old.”

“This was my last cast party as I am a senior and moving on to college after this year and through my four year career and going to every cast party in that time this was definitely will be the most memorable,” he continued. “It also brought the cast and crew together one more time in a big way as this was the last time we would all be together.”
With all the negative stories about police in the news today, it’s nice to see the positive side of cops getting some attention! Check out the video for yourself below.
