A suspect nearly managed to escape after trying to kidnap a 2 year-old boy in San Francisco last Friday, but a quick-thinking Good Samaritan was not about to let that happen.

Adam and Sabrina Walker were out walking with their son Leo when they passed another mother and her young son.

“Shortly after we walked by her, we heard her screaming, yelling for police, for help, saying that someone had taken her child,” Adam recalled.

Roscoe Holyoake, a 34 year-old man from Australia, allegedly grabbed the little boy and started running, but he stopped suddenly.

“He put the toddler down, and he smiled at everybody, and then started sprinting,” Sabrina said.

Realizing that Roscoe was going to get away, Adam chased after him for several blocks.

“Once the man saw that he was kind of cornered, he just gave up, put his hands in the air, and at that point I went and grabbed him and walked him over to the sidewalk,” Adam explained.

Police rushed to the scene and arrested Roscoe on suspicion of kidnapping. Sabrina said that she could not have been prouder of her husband.

“I’m happy that person was caught and no one was hurt,” she said.

Adam, however, said that as a parent himself, he could not see handling the situation any differently.

“In that situation, you don’t really think much about it,” the heroic father said. “You just kind of act with your heart, not so much with your head.”

God bless Adam for stepping in to ensure that this kidnapper got the dose of justice that he deserved! Find out more in the video below.
