Teenage boys often don’t have the best of reputations in society, but a video is going viral this week that shows a group of young boys with hearts of gold.

In the video below this story, you’ll see some teenage boys team up to help an elderly man in need.

The boys were walking home together in Caldwell, Idaho when they came upon an elderly man named Jose Gomez, who had fallen over. Jose had been struggling with his walker, and he finally lost his balance and fell to the ground. He was so weak that he did not even have the strength to pull himself up afterwards.

Luckily, the boys stepped in to help him right away. Not only did they help Jose stand up, they walked him home just in case he fell over again. The boys had no idea at the time that they were being filmed by Erika Tovar, who was so touched when she saw their good deed that she just had to record it.

“Shout out to these young boys for helping an elderly man off the ground after he fell and walking him home,” Erika wrote on Facebook alongside the video.

Erika’s post quickly went viral and was brought to the attention of The Sweet Spot Bakery, which decided to reward the boys for their good deed with some tasty treats. Though the “Caldwell boys” gained fame for what they had done, they always remained humble and said that anyone in their position would have done the same thing.
