Singing sensation Celine Dion just celebrated her 50th birthday last Friday and her team took to Facebook to give fans a look back at the star over the years. From a tiny tot wearing huge sunglasses to the superstar we know her as today, the throwback glimpses into the life of Dion will make you love her even more.
The French Canadian singer is still a beautiful brunette even as a child. One pic shows her clinging to a microphone as she throws her head back entranced in singing a song. She had her very first number one hit at the young age of twelve. It was a song she helped write alongside her mother Therese and brother Jacques.
It was Dion’s brother Michael who sent the recording of the song off to music producer Rene Angelil who signed Dion and guided her through her career until his death in 2016. It was Dion’s music that he loved. Despite their 26 year age difference, he married Dion in 1994.

Another picture shows Dion in her very first trip to Paris at the age of 14. Although she looks much different than the star we love today, she’s just as fresh faced and beautiful as ever. With the Eiffel Tower standing behind her, she’s nothing short of adorable in her red shorts and white top.
Just two years later, the 16-year-old flaunted long wavy hair and opened the 1984 Paris Olympia with French singer Patrick Sebastien. The “My Heart Will Go On” singer posed in one photo with her back turned towards her fans, but looking over her shoulder at the camera.

By 1988, Dion had won the European Song Contest singing for Switzerland. The contest took place in Dublin, Ireland. In one photo, she’s seen toasting the camera while enjoying her breakfast at the Shelbourne Hotel. In her native Quebec, despite their age difference, Dion was treated like royalty the day of her wedding to Angelil. She looked absolutely stunning in a flowing white gown and jeweled head piece.
In 1997, Dion sported a sleek, blonde toned hairstyle when she sang for the Queen at the Royal Command Performance in London. The stylish star is seen shaking the gloved hand of Queen Elizabeth II in one photo.
