Candace Cameron Bure, best known for starring in the sitcoms “Full House” and “Fuller House” is a Christian actress who has never been afraid to be outspoken about her views on faith. After she was recently bullied by online trolls by posting a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt that said “Not Today Satan,” she responded in a way that shows how classy she really is.
As a child of God, Bure knows that she has authority over Satan. That’s why she took to Instagram recently to post this photo.
Though the saying “Not Today Satan” has been around for hundreds of years, it recently became a catchphrase for a drag queen named Bianca Del Rio, who won a season of the reality television show “Rupaul’s Drag Race.” Bianca swiftly fired back to slam Bure for “stealing” her catchphrase, and the drag queen’s fans quickly followed suit by leaving nasty comments on the actress’s Instagram.
Instead of responding with hate, however, Bure took the high road and responded to their bullying with love.
“Why do you have to be nasty to me? You don’t know me or my heart. I’m not homophobic and always sad when people think otherwise,” she wrote. “Loving Jesus doesn’t mean I hate gay people or anyone. You sent a bunch of hateful people to my page writing horrible things. I hope next time you’ll spread love and kindness, even when you disagree with people. Sending you love and wish you all the best. Truly – Candace.”
We applaud Bure for responding with love against all the hate. God bless you, Candace!
